  • “Most-days” Hobonichi: The Finale

I’ve been very inconsistent with these drawings the last few months, but even so: I made it to the end of the book! These are a select blend form the summer and start of autumn, including a trip to the UK and Europe. Now to decide what’s next!

Summer flew by! And now it’s already nearly October. I need to catch-up on scanning my Hobonichi, but in the meanwhile here are more bird photos, from the June and July.

  • May, June, July Hobonichi Catch-up

Oops it’s August 1st and I haven’t shared any pages since April. I have been incredibly inconsistent with these “most days” pages. I’ve thought about putting it down, but the book is almost filled so I want to keep at it. Once full, I’ll re-evaluate; I may continue in the future with a time-limit, 15 mins or less, or something like that. All of these recent ones have been quick and messy, it’s better than nothing!

  • 2026 Life Drawing Compilation

Some pages from life drawing sessions so far this year! I’ve only gone to three sessions, but aiming to go more regularly in the second half of 2026. I also attended my first long pose session, which was a tough adjustment. With short poses, I’m usually trying to capture the overall form and force of the pose, but with long poses I find I’m more interested in tone, and exploring that using colour. Long poses or short poses, either way it feels good to just draw for 2 hours!
